About Us

Welcome to A Place For Us Productions! We are a for-profit theatre company based out of Kansas City, Missouri, and we exist to create a safe space for actors to grow and discover themselves and their voice, and to introduce new creatives to the joys of the theatre family.

As a child and teenager, I found escape from my problems by sitting in my room listening to cast albums and watching videos of shows on YouTube, and spent hours dreaming of finding that connection that I saw between a theatre cast. In 2014 I was cast in my first show, and the incredible experience I had in that show changed my life. I discovered a found family who continues to influence my life, and I realized first-hand the importance of theatre within the community. For many people, community theatre is their only exposure to the arts, and we are passionate about creating spaces for people to be introduced to that incredible feeling of being alive onstage. We hope that you will become a part of the family, too.
